Community Unit School District Number 11, Sangamon, Christian and Montgomery Counties, Illinois
Community Unit School District Number 11, located in Sangamon, Christian, and Montgomery Counties, Illinois, plans to issue general obligation school bonds, with an alternate revenue source, not to exceed an aggregate principal amount of $1,250,000. These bonds are intended to finance the alteration, renovation, repair, and equipping of the Pawnee Elementary and High School Building, as well as improvements to its site. The bonds will be payable from collections distributed to the District from taxes imposed under the County School Facility Occupation Tax Law. If these revenues are insufficient, ad valorem property taxes will be levied upon all taxable property within the District. A public notice has been issued, and a petition signed by 200 or more electors may be submitted to the Secretary of the Board of Education within thirty (30) days of publication if they wish for the issuance of the bonds to be submitted to a referendum. If no such petition is filed, the District will be authorized to issue the bonds.
