Repair of Fire Suppression and Hangar Door for Building 632

The Illinois National Guard intends to issue an Invitation for Bids to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary for Repair of the Fire Suppression and Hangar Door for Building 632 at the 182d Airlift Wing, Peoria, IL. Work includes the repair of the existing fire protection and detection systems, removal of existing AFFF tanks and piping and replacement with new water pipes and pumps, resizing pumps in the Base Pump House (Building 831) to adequately provide pressure to the fire water loop, removal of existing Megadoor hangar doors at the north door of building 632, mullion doors, motors, and associated conduit/wire, and installation of a new Megadoor vertical lift hangar door system and associated components. The Megadoor vertical lift hangar door by ASSA ABLOY is sole source specific for compatibility to existing installation systems. An option line item for a new generator is also included. The contract duration will be 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a small business size standard of $45,000,000. The magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
