NY-Sun Residential & Nonresidential Incentive Program
NYSERDA Contract Management
The NY-Sun Program Manual has been updated with revisions to capacity sizes, incentive availability, contractor requirements, and customer reference requirements. New designations for builders achieving consecutive Quality Solar Installer status have been introduced, along with the Solar Energy Equity Framework (SEEF) Blocks. Changes include updated incentive eligibility for non-residential replacement systems and the Affordable Solar Residential Incentive, with a new link for income eligibility applications. Prevailing Wage requirements have been updated, and clarifications have been made regarding eligibility for the Multifamily Affordable Housing Incentive (MAHI), Statewide Solar for All (S-SFA) Adder, and Inclusive Community Solar Adder (ICSA) payout. The Performance Payment Recoupment due to Non-Emergency Disconnection has been removed. Additionally, solar plus storage incentives are available for grid-connected residential solar projects in the Long Island region, and further incentives are available for non-residential projects in Long Island serving regulated affordable housing properties. The program has been extended to December 31, 2030.
