Solar PV Systems for Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center & Steven L. Schainker Plaza

The City of Ames is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the design and installation of roof-mount solar photovoltaic systems at the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center and Steven L. Schainker Plaza. The City will own, operate, and maintain the equipment. Firms must demonstrate experience in designing, planning, scheduling, permitting, and constructing complete solar systems, providing project financial analysis and rebate support, offering system monitoring, and adhering to established onsite safety standards. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM Local Time on April 24, 2026, and should be submitted via AmesBids or delivered to the City of Ames Purchasing Department. A pre-proposal meeting and site visit is scheduled for April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at City Hall, Conference Room 135. Questions are due by April 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM via AmesBids or email to karen.server@cityofames.org. Proposals must be valid for at least 90 days from the closing date.
