Regional Shuttle and On-Demand Microtransit Program

The municipalities of Woburn, Burlington, Wakefield, and Reading are soliciting proposals from qualified transportation service providers to establish and operate a regional shuttle and on-demand microtransit program. The goal of this initiative is to enhance mobility within and between these four communities through a flexible, technology-driven, turnkey service. Key aspects of the program include providing regional shuttle services and on-demand microtransit options. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete operation of this transportation network. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for download starting April 27, 2026, from the official website: https://woburnma.gov/bid-postings/. Proposals are due by May 18, 2026. The participating municipalities reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and negotiate contract terms. This RFP does not commit the municipalities to awarding a contract or reimbursing any costs incurred in proposal preparation.
