Savannah Convention Center Escalator Modernization

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), on behalf of the Savannah Convention Center, is seeking responses from qualified firms specializing in escalator modernization. This project involves the modernization of four escalators: two in the Rotunda (Rotunda 1-2) and two in the Ballroom (Ballroom 1-2). The scope of work includes all engineering, labor, materials, transportation, services, and equipment necessary for the modernization, as well as warranty preventive maintenance. Key aspects of the modernization include in-truss work, replacement of components, and ensuring compliance with safety codes such as ASME A17.1. The project requires detailed submittals, including shop drawings and product data, and adherence to strict communication protocols. A mandatory proposal conference and site visit will be held on April 30th, 2026, at the Savannah Convention Center.
