Basic Close Quarters Clearance (CQC) Training

The County of San Diego is soliciting quotes for Basic Close Quarters Clearance (CQC) Training for the Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Detail (SED). This is anticipated to be a one-time contract. The training aims to evaluate and improve SED's current tactics, equip them with new skills and tools for CQC, and provide education on emerging equipment. The course will cover various modalities including urban, rural, dynamic, deliberate, hostage rescue, and night/low-light scenarios. Instructors must possess extensive military special operations and/or law enforcement SWAT experience, with a focus on Limited Penetration tactics. The training will consist of five 10-hour days, primarily focusing on law enforcement close quarters style, incorporating simulated ammunition. The training is scheduled to take place between July and November 2026.
