Description

The Alameda County Public Works Agency (ACPWA) requires services for a comprehensive paint condition assessment of the structural steel, auxiliary components, and bridge towers for three drawbridges: Park Street Bridge, Fruitvale Avenue Bridge, and High Street Bridge. The scope includes identifying the current condition of existing coating systems, quantifying areas requiring surface preparation, recommending appropriate coating systems for the marine environment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Based on the assessment, the contractor will develop a detailed coating rehabilitation scope and prepare bid specifications for future coating work. This includes recommendations for paint systems, surface preparation, containment, environmental/lead/PCB requirements, and traffic/marine/coastal considerations. The contract will be for one year with the option to renew for two additional years.
