Description

This opportunity is for the Elbee Bend Bank Stabilization project located at Knife River Indian Village National Historic Site in Mercer County, North Dakota. The project aims to stabilize the Elbee Bend of the Knife River to protect archeological resources, a utility pole, and County Road 37 from erosion. The stabilization will involve installing self-healing riverbank protection and strategic vegetation planting, including riprap at the base of the bank and compacted filling. Approximately 1200 linear feet of bank will be stabilized. The project is critical for preserving archeological sites and infrastructure, including access roads and utility poles. The anticipated period of performance is 356 calendar days, with potential for winter construction and seasonal shutdowns. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are anticipated to be required.
