The Town of Killingly, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase and delivery of submersible wastewater sump pumps for their Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). The pumps must meet specific performance criteria, including a 3 HP, 460-volt, 3-phase rating, a 4-inch flanged horizontal discharge, and a capacity of up to approximately 485 GPM at a head of approximately 46 feet, with one pump exceeding 50 feet of head. Key construction materials include cast iron or stainless steel casing, a non-clog or semi-open impeller suitable for wastewater, a stainless steel shaft, and dual mechanical seals with a seal failure sensor. All equipment must be new, unused, and protected during transportation and storage. The Town requires an alternate pump specification of Franklin Electric 3NC-346P3-184 non-clog pump as an acceptable alternative. Vendors must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience supplying equipment for municipal water/wastewater infrastructure, including submersible pumps, pump station equipment, or related mechanical systems. A demonstrated history of providing submersible wastewater sump pumps, specifically equipment comparable to the Goulds 4SD52H2BA or approved equal, to municipalities, utilities, or industrial facilities is required. Successful completion of at least three (3) comparable municipal, utility, or industrial pump supply contracts within the past five (5) years is also required.
