Elevator, Lift, and Escalator Maintenance and Repair Services

The City of Richmond is soliciting bids for term contracts to provide annual preventative maintenance and repair services for elevators, lifts, and escalators. Services must be performed by NAEC-certified technicians. The contract will cover various city facilities including community centers, parking garages, public utilities, police precincts, libraries, and city hall. The scope of work includes routine inspections, adjustments, tests, parts replacement, and repairs to ensure continuous operation and performance of all elevator, lift, and escalator equipment. This includes compliance with current ANSI/ASME A17 codes, monthly and annual inspections, and emergency callback services 24/7. The contractor will also be responsible for annual and semi-annual inspections as required by the City of Richmond Elevator Code Enforcement and will provide support to third-party inspectors at their own cost. Key requirements for contractors include at least ten years of experience as an elevator company, NAEC certification for technicians, and compliance with all city regulations. Subcontracting is not permitted. The contract duration is three years with options to extend.
