Description

The Comanche Nation is seeking a Gaming Commissioner to oversee regulatory functions related to the Nation's gaming operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with the Comanche Nation Gaming Ordinance, the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the Tribal State Compact, and other applicable gaming laws and regulations. This includes promulgating tribal internal control standards, regulations, and procedures for vendor and employee licensing, background investigations, fee structures, and enforcement actions. The Gaming Commissioner will also be responsible for adjudicating patron tort and prize claims, ensuring the CNE annual audit is secured, and approving contracts and agreements for the Gaming Commission. The position requires management of the Gaming Commission's budget and oversight of its staff. Key duties include conducting background investigations, making licensing eligibility determinations, assessing and collecting fees, and performing internal audits of gaming facilities. The Commissioner will have unrestricted access to CNE's areas and records for regulatory purposes. Qualifications include being an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation, demonstrating integrity, and possessing a high school diploma with relevant experience in business management, compliance, or regulation, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Knowledge of licensing and compliance requirements for gaming facilities is essential. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a CNGC Key License and will undergo a background investigation and drug test.
