Joint R&D Projects Call - Turkey and Libya
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK) and the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research (LASR)
This call for joint Research and Development (R&D) projects aims to foster collaboration between entities in Turkey and Libya under the "Protocol on Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation." The initiative supports projects in several key thematic areas: Clean, Accessible and Secure Energy Supply (including photovoltaic cells, solar power, wind energy systems, biofuel refineries, and autonomous energy management); Information and Communication Technologies (including artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing); Environmental Science (including treatment technologies, water purification, and desalination); Health and Biotechnology (including medical biotechnology, genetic sciences, innovative treatments, disease prevention, and health informatics); and Food and Agriculture (including agricultural improvement for food security, soil and water conservation, smart farming technologies, and food safety). Eligible applicants from Turkey include higher education institutions, training and research hospitals, public institutions and organizations, research institutes, and private sector companies with a trade registry certificate. Eligible Libyan partners may also participate. Projects are expected to generate new knowledge, provide scientific interpretations, or solve technological problems. Applications must be submitted through the TUBITAK Online Application System. Turkish partners can receive up to 3,750,000 Turkish Liras per project, while Libyan partners can receive up to 250,000 Libyan Dinars per project. Support is provided at a 100 percent grant rate.
