Life Safety Repairs and Electrical Installation at Fort Wainwright

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) for life safety repairs and electrical installation services at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The project is a total small business set-aside with a construction cost limitation of $18,000,000. The scope of work includes installing power for the Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) and the Transportable Flight Procedure Simulator (TFPS), connecting simulators to the Fire Alarm System, converting bay areas to a wet pipe sprinkler system, and addressing egress deficiencies and other life safety repairs. Additionally, the project requires installing expanded metal mesh in a prefab arms vault to comply with AR190-11 for use as an Arms Room. Updates to the existing fire system to meet current building codes may be necessary. This building is identified as a historical building, requiring coordination with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO).
