NIST Boulder Building 8 Gutter and Roof Repair
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is soliciting bids for exterior building repair and renovation services at its Boulder Campus. The primary scope of work involves the removal and replacement of the existing foam roof system on Building 8 with a new metal roof deck system. This includes the installation of new fascia, gutters, and downspouts, as well as replacing damaged insulation. Additionally, snow guards will be installed on the new metal roof. Optional work includes the demolition and reconstruction of the northwest entrance overhang on Building 5, including a new gutter system and painting. The project also offers options for reinstallation of an ornamental vent stack cap on Building 3 and the removal and replacement of the main entrance door system, frame, associated concrete slab, and structural supports at Building 11. The work encompasses demolition, roofing, sheet metal, concrete, structural, and door installation activities, all while maintaining building protection and adhering to safety requirements.
