Herbicide Treatment for Mesabi Trail

St. Louis County, on behalf of the St. Louis and Lake Counties Regional Railroad Authority, is soliciting quotes for herbicide treatment services for portions of the Mesabi Trail. The work involves controlling Crown Vetch, Thistle, Balm of Gilead, and other broadleaf vegetation along approximately 83 miles of trail, focusing on the 10ft wide sides. The contractor must demonstrate proper equipment and knowledge, and calibrate equipment to avoid harming vegetation taller than six feet. Signage informing the public of activities will be required at all access points and road crossings.
