Description

This opportunity is for design services for the initial development of three new access areas for the Wilderness Gateway State Trail. Each access area will include gravel parking lots for approximately 70 vehicles, entry drives, two canoe launches, and three vault toilets. The three access areas are located in Catawba County, North Carolina, and each will serve as a future trailhead. The total project budget is $2,545,000, funded by the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). Firms must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. Selection criteria include expertise, past performance, staff qualifications, workload, design approach, experience with project costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, proximity to the project area, and record of successful projects.
