Weed Abatement Services for Chula Vista Veterans Home

The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking qualified vendors to provide weed abatement and vegetation control services at the Chula Vista Veterans Home. Services include routine weed control, fertilizer application, pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide application, and mechanical/manual weed removal. The contractor must maintain areas such that visible weed growth does not exceed five percent ground coverage at any time, with any areas exceeding this threshold to be treated within five business days at no additional cost. Services are to be performed on an as-needed basis during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, unless prior written approval is obtained for overtime or state holidays. The contract term is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029.
