Sale of Windy Gap Water Units

Platte River Power Authority (Platte River) is offering for sale up to two unfirmed Windy Gap Units. Each unit represents 1/480th of the annual yield of the Windy Gap Project, operated by the Municipal Subdistrict of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. These units are considered "unfirmed" and do not include any interest in the Windy Gap Firming Project (Chimney Hollow Reservoir). Platte River is seeking bids for the purchase of these water units, with a minimum reserve bid price of $4,900,000.00 per unit. Bidders are encouraged to submit proposals that include information about their organization, how the Windy Gap Water fits into their portfolio, financing plans, and any relevant experience. Successful bidders must be tax-exempt and become part of the Municipal Subdistrict, signing an allotment contract. The sale is also subject to Platte River's owner communities' right of first refusal and requires approval from the Municipal Subdistrict Board of Directors.
