Steuben County is seeking bids for two 60-ton lowboy trailers. These trailers will be used for routine hauling of heavy equipment related to road and bridge construction and maintenance throughout Steuben County, operating year-round on hilly terrain and various road conditions. The trailers must be new, unused, standard production (2026 or newer model year) equipment and must be compatible with Steuben County's existing "flip" 4th axle manufactured by Talbert. Key specifications include a 60-ton capacity, a specific gooseneck design with hydraulic lift cylinders, a 25' 6" clear deck length, and a triple-axle rear bridge with a 25,000 lbs capacity per axle. The trailers must also be equipped with an anti-lock brake system, LED lighting, and meet all applicable industry and governmental standards, including OSHA and EPA emissions standards. A minimum of a twelve-month warranty on materials and workmanship is required, with a thirty-six-month warranty on main structural members.
