Village Hall Elevator Repair and Modernization

The Village of Wilmette is soliciting bids for the Village Hall Elevator Repair & Modernization project. This project involves the repair and modernization of the Village Hall's sole elevator, a hydraulic elevator original to the building's construction in 1975. The existing controller, last replaced in 1984, is nearing the end of its service life, and a recent temporary repair highlighted the need for a full replacement. The scope of work includes replacing the microprocessor controller, updating electrical systems, and other ancillary components to bring the elevator up to current code compliance. The project also includes potential alternates for the replacement of the lift cylinder unit, rehabilitation of the elevator car's interior, and replacement of the exterior entrance doors.
