Description

This project involves the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Intervale Lift Station, located at 2277 Evergreen Road, Covington, Virginia. Key components of the work include the demolition of the existing lift station building, the removal and replacement of the stand-by generator and associated appurtenances, and the removal and replacement of existing pumps, controls, and appurtenances. Additionally, a new composite wood-framed platform will be constructed. This is a General Contract opportunity, encompassing all trades. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time on June 25, 2026. Bids can be submitted sealed to the Office of the County Administrator, Suite A, Alleghany County Governmental Complex, 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, Virginia 24426, or electronically via www.trascoplanroom.com. A virtual bid opening will be conducted. A non-mandatory Prebid meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Project Site. Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount is required. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100 percent of the contract amount. The successful bidder shall complete the Work within 180 days of the Notice to Proceed.
