Berth 24 Backlands Redevelopment Project

The Port of Oakland is soliciting bids for the Berth 24 Backlands Redevelopment Project. This project, funded by a MARAD FY 2022 PIDP Grant, involves comprehensive backlands improvements at Berth 24. Key components include site preparation, paving and striping, drainage systems, installation of bioretention facilities, new switchgear, reefer racks, RTG runways, underground conduits, vaults, cabling, light poles, and firewater systems. The estimated project cost is $64,000,000, with a performance period of 548 calendar days. Bidders must possess a California Class A contractor's license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Compliance with the Port of Oakland Maritime and Aviation Project Labor Agreement (MAPLA) and prevailing wage rates is required. The project is also subject to the City of Oakland's Construction and Demolition Debris Waste Reduction and Recycling Program requirements.
