Citywide Traffic Signal Modernization Project

The City of Brownsville is undertaking the Light Synchronization Project, a citywide initiative to modernize traffic signals. This project aims to enhance traffic flow, improve signal coordination, and boost operational efficiency across multiple corridors. Key components include the deployment of advanced traffic detection systems, upgraded traffic control cabinets, and GPS-based time synchronization equipment at selected signalized intersections. The project is funded through the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP).
