Retirement Plan Recordkeeper Services

South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) is requesting proposals for a registered Recordkeeper to manage its Money Purchase Pension Plan (401(a) Plan) and its Section 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan (457(b) Plan). The selected vendor will be responsible for bundled services including non-ERISA recordkeeping, administration, communication, education, custodial trustee services, and an open investment platform. The vendor must have a minimum of five years of experience administering governmental 401(a) plans and currently administer at least three 401(a) plans with an asset size of $100 million each. Additionally, they must administer at least five governmental 401(a) plans and ten 457(b) non-ERISA governmental plans with a combined participant size of at least 500. The vendor must also provide custom-branded employee communication materials and offer qualified, local, in-person or virtual educational support to plan participants from salaried representatives who do not receive commissions.
