Ames Campus Hub Basement Sun Shade Replacement

The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is soliciting quotes for the removal and replacement of existing electric shades in the Hub Basement of the Ames Campus. The project involves replacing shades that are approximately 28 feet high from the floor, accessed through basement space. The work includes removing existing motors and fabric roller shades, and installing new fabric shades, motors, and keypads. The new shades will attach to the bulkhead over the windows, and keypads will be placed on columns in their current locations. Work is to be performed between Monday and Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and is scheduled to begin no sooner than July 1, 2026, as part of an FY27 project. The estimated completion date is December 31, 2026. The Iowa DOT is a tax-exempt agency and will provide tax exemption certificates upon request. Bidders are required to be registered with the Division of Labor in Iowa.
