Lubbock Independent School District (Lubbock ISD) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to establish a diverse list of providers for Group Travel Services. The contract aims to secure comprehensive services for student group and sponsor travel, encompassing air and ground transportation (including cars, buses, and trains), hotel accommodations, performance venue bookings, entertainment tickets, and meal coordination. Safety of students and staff is paramount. The contract will be a term contract with an initial period ending June 30, 2022, with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms. Lubbock ISD reserves the right to award multiple vendors to ensure a broad base of services and may compare prices with the State Travel Management Program. Successful contractors must provide documentation of compliance with district policies, including driver qualifications and background checks, and ensure appropriate equipment and staffing for all services. Vendors are also expected to manage all aspects of group travel professionally, including scheduling, booking, ticketing, and arranging accommodations, while prioritizing cost-effectiveness and traveler requirements. The district may adopt contracts with other member districts through interlocal cooperation.
