Packing, Containerization, and Local Drayage Services

The Department of the Army is seeking contractors to provide packing, containerization, and local drayage services for direct procurement method (DPM) shipments. This includes services for household goods (HHG) and unaccompanied baggage (UB), covering both outbound and inbound movements. The services encompass a wide range of tasks such as premove surveys, appliance servicing, packing, inventorying, containerization using specified standards (ASTM-D4169-14, SDDC Pamphlet 55-12), weighing, marking, strapping, and drayage within performance areas. The contract also includes provisions for storage, remarking, coopering, assembly/disassembly, and handling of special items like valuable articles and firearms. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) details specific requirements for each type of move and service, including container specifications, marking procedures, and documentation. The contract period is anticipated to be from March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2031.
