Faulkton Municipal Airport Runway Reconstruction and Taxiway Improvements

The City of Faulkton, South Dakota is soliciting bids for the Runway 13/31 Reconstruction and Taxiway Improvements project at the Faulkton Municipal Airport. The project scope includes significant earthwork, including unclassified excavation and borrow excavation, along with the placement of subbase course material and geotextile separator fabric. Pavement work involves asphalt cold milling and pavement/base removal, as well as the installation of asphalt base/surface course and binder. Drainage improvements include the installation of reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) for storm sewers and underdrain systems, along with inlets and culverts. The project also encompasses seeding, fertilizing, topsoiling, and mulching for site restoration. Additionally, the scope includes the removal and disposal of existing structures, installation of new airfield electrical lighting systems, including constant current regulators, control panels, and airfield signs, and the construction of a pre-fabricated electrical vault building. Alternate bids are being solicited for a beacon with a utility pole, and associated electrical components for runway lighting.
