Central Communications Center EV Chargers Installation

The City of Raleigh is soliciting bids for the Central Communications Center EV Chargers project. The scope of work includes the relocation of two existing dual-port Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, demolition of existing branch circuits and pedestals, and the installation of a new 600A electrical service at the parking lot. Additionally, two new dual-port EV chargers will be installed, fed from the new electrical service. The new EV chargers will be provided by the owner and installed by the electrical contractor. An alternate bid (A1) offers the option for the owner to provide two additional new EV chargers, resulting in a total of four new dual-port EV chargers, with the contractor salvaging the existing chargers. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87, and the City's policies encouraging Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation, with a goal of 15% MWBE subcontracting for projects over $300,000 or with $100,000 or more in state funding.
