Description

The Bureau of Land Management's Idaho Falls District requires non-personal services for large-scale herbicide application across three treatment units: Curlew, Big Desert, and Wigwam, totaling 4,106 acres. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, supplies, and incidentals necessary to conduct herbicide application according to detailed specifications. This project aims to support noxious weed and invasive species control, targeting species such as Russian thistle and cheatgrass within roadside fuel break segments and sagebrush steppe rangelands. The period of performance begins on or after September 21, 2026, and must be completed within 12 calendar days, weather and site conditions permitting, but no later than November 20, 2026. The places of performance are in Idaho, specifically the Curlew Unit in Oneida County, the Big Desert Unit in Bingham, Blaine, and Power Counties, and the Wigwam Unit in Butte County. GIS shapefiles, georeferenced maps, and project boundaries will be provided by the Government. Applicators must hold a current Idaho Professional Applicator License in the Agricultural Pesticide Category or work under the supervision of a licensed applicator.
