Heating Plant Replacement at Kenton Public School

This opportunity is for the replacement of the heating plant at Kenton Public School. The project is expected to commence as soon as possible after contract award, and the successful contractor must submit a project schedule immediately. Substantial completion is required by September 30, 2026. Non-destructive work can be performed during regular school hours, but any work affecting school operations must be conducted after hours or on weekends, in accordance with city by-laws. For bids exceeding $500,000, digital Labour and Material Bonds and Performance Bonds using Form 31 and Form 32 (including HST) are required. These digital bonds must be submitted to the Contract Specialist. The Purchasing Department, at its sole discretion, may request a complete price breakdown of the Base Bid Price from the unofficial low bidder(s) after closing. This breakdown must be provided within 5 business days, or the bid may be deemed non-compliant. Contractors will be responsible for providing sufficient installation floater insurance coverage for supplies and equipment, if applicable. The bid amount for insurance is at the sole discretion of the awarded contractor.
