Idaho County is proposing to undertake several projects utilizing Title III funds, as authorized by Public Law 115-141 and the Secure Rural Schools Act. These funds are intended for planning purposes for the 2026 project year. The proposed projects include: * **Hazardous Fuel Reduction:** Projects focused on reducing hazardous fuels and improving forest health to protect people and property from wildfires. The estimated funding for this category is $300,000 - $450,000. * **Search and Rescue and Other Emergency Services:** Reimbursement for search and rescue operations, emergency services, capital equipment purchases, and law enforcement patrols on National Forest Lands. The estimated funding for this category is $250,000 - $350,000. * **Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP):** Carrying out the Idaho County Community Wildfire Protection Plan(s). The estimated funding for this category is $200,000 - $206,000. The total estimated expenditure for these projects is not to exceed $1,006,000.00. The Board of Idaho County Commissioners is accepting public comments on these proposed projects for a period of forty-five (45) days following the publication date.
