Description

The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH) is seeking to establish contracts with qualified ASL interpreters and transliterators to provide services for an agreed-upon number of work hours per week. These contracts may be of limited duration and can be renewed. Other agencies may also utilize these contracts for ADA compliance and communication access for the deaf and hard of hearing community. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2031. Individual contracts will be issued for a single fiscal year or a portion thereof. Compensation rates will be based on MCD06 rates. Benefits for contract interpreters include guaranteed compensation for scheduled hours, payment for travel time between jobs, Commonwealth retirement contributions, and paid sick leave.
