CDBG Accessibility Improvements
Oak Ridge, TN
The City of Oak Ridge is soliciting bids for accessibility improvements at three city-owned parking facilities that serve public housing sites. The scope of work includes the installation of federally compliant accessible parking spaces, curb cuts, and ADA-accessible sidewalks at locations on Van Hicks Road, Honeysuckle Lane, and Joel Lane. The project involves demolition of existing pavement, curbs, and sidewalks, followed by rough grading to ensure positive flow and drainage. New concrete curbs and gutters will be installed, along with sidewalks and ADA-accessible ramps constructed to meet current standards. Paving work will include a bituminous base course and a hot-mix surface course overlay, with all new pavement meeting or exceeding geotechnical specifications. Pavement markings and signage will be installed as per the plans. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Tennessee and provide references. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 2, 2026. Bids are due by June 25, 2026.
