]snowmobiles
The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) is soliciting bids for seventeen (17) new snowmobiles on behalf of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). These snowmobiles are intended for use in search, rescue, and enforcement operations, as the current fleet is approximately twenty years old and can pose a liability. The purchase is a one-time event, and a purchase order will be issued upon approval by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller. Bidders are required to register with the NYS Contract Reporter to receive updates and addenda. The solicitation specifies two configurations for the snowmobiles: ten units of the 2027 Ski-Doo Backcountry Adrenaline with a 2-inch Powder Max track and 39-inch skis, and seven units of the 2027 Ski-Doo Backcountry Adrenaline with a 1.5-inch Storm track and 43-inch skis. Both configurations require specific engine specifications, electric start with manual recoil, reverse, heated throttle levers, medium windshields, front and rear bumpers with hitches, ice scratchers, spare belts, mirrors, heated shield plugs, and a black color. The OEM warranty will apply from the date of acceptance, and the contractor must extend the warranty period for any downtime requiring repairs.
