Description

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for the Route 28 Innovative Intersections design-build project. This project involves the design and construction of innovative intersection improvements along Route 28 (Centreville Road) between Manassas Drive (Route 213) and Spruce Street. Key elements include converting existing intersections at Maplewood Drive and Browns Lane to restricted crossing U-turns, and constructing a median U-turn between Birch Street and Spruce Street. The scope also encompasses turn lane extensions, new and reconstructed concrete medians, sidewalk and curb ramp construction, striping, and associated drainage and stormwater management systems.
