Flexible Bags

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Puget Sound is soliciting offers for flexible bags, urgent delivery required. These bags must be manufactured in accordance with provided material specifications. The solicitation is a 100% total small business set-aside, utilizing commercial and simplified acquisition procedures. The bags are described as 1 cubic yard, 6000-pound capacity, white, water-resistant polypropylene with a 5:1 safety factor. They feature a duffel top with a pull cord and lock, and are forklift compatible with double-thick forklift straps extending 34 inches above the bag. The material must be UV treated, and the weave should prevent tears from propagating. The bottom and 8 inches up the sides are double-layered. Each bag requires specific labeling, including manufacturer information, date of manufacture, safe working load, handling instructions, and sun exposure instructions. Delivery is required by June 17, 2026, FOB Destination to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard IMF in Bremerton, WA. All questions and submissions must be emailed to vera.anderson@dla.mil.
