Description

The Department of Agriculture is seeking proposals for veterinary services, excluding drugs and supplies, to be performed at the Livestock Evaluation Center located at 1494 West Pine Grove Road, PA Furnace, PA 16865. The services required include general herd health management, diagnostics, vaccinations, breeding soundness examinations, and consultation. Offerors must possess a Pennsylvania Veterinary license and USDA Level 2 accreditation. Additionally, the veterinary practice must be located within a 20-mile radius of the Livestock Evaluation Center to accommodate emergency care. The selected offeror will be required to contract with the current veterinarian as a paid consultant for a period of 12 months to ensure a seamless transition of services. The Penn State feeding trials/research trials are not included in this scope. Drugs and pharmaceuticals will be procured by the Department where possible, with the offeror only procuring those requiring special administration or licensure.
