Havasupai Quarters HVAC Unit Replacement

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is soliciting proposals for Design/Build services to replace two air conditioning (AC) units (Units #1028 and #1029) at the Havasupai Elementary Living Quarters in Supai, Arizona. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, insurance, and transportation to remove and replace the existing 1.5-ton AC systems, including outdoor condensing units and indoor air handling units. This is a fixed-price solicitation set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) firms. The project involves a comprehensive approach including inspection and evaluation of existing units, preparation of project documents (specifications and cost estimates), removal of old units, installation of new HVAC systems compliant with current building codes and standards (including IECC, NEC, UMC, and NFPA 90B), and cleaning of existing ductwork. A new concrete pad and platform will be constructed for the outdoor AC units. The contractor must also manage the transportation and disposal of all construction debris off tribal lands. The period of performance is forty-five (45) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The response date has been extended to June 1, 2026.
