St. Francis Area Galvanized Water Main Replacement

Greenville Water (GW) is soliciting bids for the replacement of approximately 32,600 linear feet of new 6-inch and 8-inch water main in residential areas near Judson Mill and St. Francis Downtown Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. The scope of work includes open-cut installation of approximately 9,100 LF of 6-inch and 23,500 LF of 8-inch water main, installation of 25 fire hydrant assemblies and 15 blowoff valve assemblies, replacement of 648 service lines, relocation of two existing fire hydrants, and abandonment of approximately 85 existing 2-inch water mains. The project also requires traffic control, road restoration, and surface restoration. This project is funded in part by a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES), and all federal and SCDES requirements will apply. Bidders must provide a copy of their Contractor's License with their bid, and bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid amount. The contract will commence on the date stated in the Notice to Proceed, with Substantial Completion expected within 510 consecutive calendar days and Final Completion within 30 consecutive calendar days thereafter.
