The University of Oklahoma is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for temporary skilled and unskilled labor to support its Facilities Management, Housing, and Food Services departments. Services required include custodial/housekeeping, landscaping, general maintenance, general labor, skilled tradesmen, banquet/catering personnel, and various retail food service roles (chef, line cook, server, food preparation, etc.). The University intends to award contracts to multiple suppliers. The scope of work encompasses providing temporary staff for food services within catering, retail, and housing facilities, as well as for facilities management needs such as custodial services, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and other building trades. Suppliers must ensure their personnel adhere to strict workplace safety, food handling practices, and professional appearance standards. Background checks, including OSBI background checks upon contract award, are mandatory for all personnel assigned to work on campus. The University may spend up to $400,000 per year on these temporary labor services for Housing and Food Services alone.
