Towing Services for the City of Blue Springs

The City of Blue Springs, Missouri is soliciting proposals for comprehensive towing services. This includes light, medium, and heavy-duty recovery, winching, dollie/flatbed services, accident cleanup, service calls (jump starts, tire changes, lockouts), and vehicle storage. The contract will be for an initial three-year term, with the option for one or two additional one-year renewals. Pricing for the first renewal may increase by 5%, and for the second renewal by 3.5%. The service area covers the entire City of Blue Springs and contiguous roadways, as well as areas within the jurisdictional boundaries where the Blue Springs Police Department provides services. The contractor must maintain a secure storage facility within the city limits capable of holding at least 60 vehicles and must meet specific vehicle requirements, including a minimum of four 1-ton trucks and one 5-ton truck, with three equipped for safe, damage-free towing. Response times are critical, with a 30-minute arrival for most calls and a 1-hour arrival for equipment required for tractor trailers. The contractor must also provide 24/7 dispatch and communication, and cooperate fully with the Police Department.
