EE Smith High School Main Gym HVAC Replacement

This invitation to bid is for the replacement of the existing split AC unit with a hot water coil in the main gymnasium of EE Smith High School. The scope of work includes the replacement of the unit with like-kind equipment, along with miscellaneous electrical, HVAC controls, and fire alarm system modifications. Sealed proposals will be received until May 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Cumberland County Schools' Operations Center Plans Room, 810 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Single prime proposals only will be received for all construction work. The owner encourages participation by minority businesses. Requirements for bidding include providing three references from previously satisfied public school customers of similar size, scope, and timeframe, furnishing a North Carolina contractor license number for projects costing $40,000 or more, and maintaining specific insurance coverage including Workman's Compensation, General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Builder's Risk or Installation Floater. The contractor must also recruit minority business participation in accordance with G.S. 143-128.
