Lawn Care Services for Mobile County Public Schools

This solicitation is for lawn care and grounds maintenance services for various school campuses within the Mobile County Public School System. The services include mowing, weed-eating, edging, blowing, litter and debris removal, shrubbery trimming, and spraying for weeds on hard surfaces. The contract will be for a period of one year from the Board approval date, with the option to renew annually for up to two additional years, provided both parties agree. Bidders must be established for a minimum of five years and possess commercial lawn equipment suitable for the scope of work. A specialty Alabama license for the appropriate work is required, and bidders must provide three references for similar public/commercial clients. A bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of $4,500.00 is required with the proposal. Comprehensive general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 and workers' compensation coverage meeting state requirements must also be submitted with the proposal. The contract may be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering factors such as quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and previous performance.
