The goal is to provide new and profitable cropping options for U.S. agriculture in response to market changes and consumer demand for new agricultural-based products. Eligible crops include oilseed, grain, pseudocereals, legumes, and pulses, which have applications in human and animal nutrition, industrial chemical manufacturing, biofuel production, and as cover crops or pollinator habitat.
