Custom Trailers for Drake State Community and Technical College

Drake State Community and Technical College is seeking bids for two custom trailers. The solicitation includes detailed specifications for each trailer in Exhibit A. Trailer 1 is an 8'x24' deckover trailer with a 14,000 lb GVWR, dual 7,000 lb brake axles, an 8" C-channel main frame, and steel tread deck. Trailer 2 is an 8.5'x32' enclosed tandem axle trailer with a V-nose, 84" interior height, and various interior and exterior upgrades including a one-piece aluminum roof, insulated walls and ceiling, and a mini-split AC with heat pump. Both trailers must be bumper pulled and delivered to the Drake State Campus at 3421 Meridian Street North, Huntsville, AL 35811. Bidders are cautioned that incurring financial obligations by purchasing materials not normally stocked for this bid will not be a reason for reimbursement of costs incurred. The successful bidder shall guarantee all material and labor for a period of not less than three (3) years against defects in material or workmanship.
