Radiological/Nuclear Equipment and Support Services

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is looking to procure RadEye radiological/nuclear equipment, along with associated accessories and warranties. This procurement aims to replace outdated units and improve the region's detection and interdiction capabilities. The contract will be a requirements-type contract, meaning the NYPD will purchase items on an as-needed basis throughout the contract term, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchase. Bidders have the option to propose 'or equal' items, but must provide written justification demonstrating that their proposed items meet the functional and technical specifications of the RadEye equipment. Any proposed 'or equal' items must also be compatible with existing NYPD equipment and capable of integration into current systems used by the NYPD and its law enforcement partners. The anticipated contract term is from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2028.
