The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking qualifications from trade contractors for the CMAR Downtown Crossing Phase 2 and Central Square Station Accessibility Improvements project. This project aims to enhance station accessibility by installing new elevators and making associated modifications. At Downtown Crossing and Park Street Stations, the scope includes three new accessible transfer elevators, mechanical equipment, and architectural updates. At Central Square Station, the project involves replacing the existing outbound platform elevator, installing two new elevators, and performing extensive station modifications, infrastructure upgrades, and surface repairs. Specific trades for which qualifications are being sought include Waterproofing, Damp-proofing and Caulking; Roofing and Flashing; Terrazzo; Tile; Elevators; HVAC; and Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems. This is the second solicitation for these trades, as fewer than three Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) were received in the initial solicitation.
