Description

This solicitation is for the sale of approximately 75 tons of scrap mixed metal, including both ferrous and non-ferrous types. The property must be removed by September 30, 2026. Bidders are cautioned that the metal may contain up to 5% foreign materials, and no sorting is permitted on site. The contractor will be responsible for weighing the metal on the depot's certified commercial scale and providing proof of weight. A deposit of 20% of the total proposal price is required within five calendar days of the award, before any material can be removed. Payment is due prior to removal and must be submitted through pay.gov. The first removal must occur within 7 business days of the Sales Agreement effective date, with the contractor providing proof of removal to the SIAD Contract Point of Contact within 3 business days per removal. The contractor is responsible for all freight costs and shipping losses. This is an all-or-nothing sale, and failure to pay for and remove the awarded steel may result in default fees and barring from future government sales.
